So I have a lot of adult dubia and cant get them to produce, does anyone have a good link or blog on a dubia-ing for dummies, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks guys, I honestly have no idea how I keep failing with them to breed.

How long have you had them?
When I set up a new colony, it typically takes a few months (or longer) for them to really take off and start reproducing much usually.

the key for gettin dubia to breed= HEAT AN FOOD....

^^ this!! The End ... Close thread. Lol

Get the temps in the mid 90s , humidity in the 60s, and feed them (protein is key). I have had my colony or about a month and have seen about 100 new nymphs this week alone, and that's what I have seen with my own eyes.

I should say- I don't heat mine. They get whatever the ambient temp in the lizard building is (these days it's about 80-85 day up high where the roach tubs are and 50 nights). If you use heat- you should get faster results. Also- 100 nymphs would probably go unnoticed by me as I start colonies of many hundreds of adults in 50 gallon storage tubs. I was thinking in terms of starting to notice lots of young roaches in a new colony. Forgot many people may not have colony sizes like mine.

Really there is nothing too hard about them. Just offer plenty of food (wet and dry) and keep them warm and give them some time. If you have only had them a few weeks, I wouldn't panic just yet.

Lol, you are a savage . Lol. Right not I have about 800 or so (about 40 or do being adult females. ) I have about 200 nymphs that are a shed or 2 away from adulthood.

the are at about 80 plus and about 65 at night. I could use more heat and humidity and I need to work on a better air flow system. I think I had the most trouble with food, what would someone recommend as easy and cheap? Maybe something that can be purchased on the forum or from a sponsor?

65 at night is your problem. They are active and breed at night, so
they need to be warm then as well. Try keeping them at 85 all the time.
I feed mine whatever leftover fruits, veggies from the fridge, and supplement with a cricket gutload like cricket crack, or even repashy gdc a couple times a week. I have the opposite problem, too many roaches!! :D
