Roach Colony

I started my roach colony Yesterday (inspired by Pigglett79). Hopefully my colony will flourish!

Looks good! I've started one as well,,but not as big, as I only have one cham to feed. I keep it outside under the cage, with the non vented end in a black plastic bag to keep the temps high, and keep any water spillage from going in the box. Fingers crossed!

Im in San Antonio and the weather here is a constant 90-100. I keep my roaches in the garage.. Nice and warm!

I am in the researching phase of starting a dubia colony...I too am wondering what is the best to use for heat between reptile heat pads or heat tape? And what is a good size heat tape?

honestly, i keep mine in the hall closet, no extra heat.
it is taking longer i am sure but i am seeing results
after about 3-4 months.

Most people use the 11" wide Flex Watt tape.
