Rios first day outside

Today is Rios first day in his outdoor enclosure for the rest of the warm season. He has hanging plants, a fern, morning glory vines, and a hisbiscus bush because there were issues with the tree.

Currently he is in his fern. It’ll be raining for the next week and a half so it’s fixing to be wet out there for awhile.

I am gonna line it with smaller screen.

Wonderful! 💗
I did look up morning glory and it is toxic to cats, dogs and horses. Of course nothing ever lists reptile toxicity. It is said to contain lysergic acids and can cause a problem if a lot is eaten. Considering the size differences between those animals listed and a chameleon, all ingesting one leaf, I personally would play it safe and replace it with something known to be safe, like a hibiscus.
*not really sure what lysergic acids are other than lysergic acid diethylamids is LSD.

I will have them replaced tomorrow.

I never knew morning glories to be toxic I’ve had them planted around the house for years and never had issues with my animals with them.

I’ll find another flowering vine.

I found this on the breeder website where I got Rio from. I have a crap ton of honey suckle that grows wild free and rampant around my house.

I know i read some there the berries on them aren’t safe but the leaves and flowers are.
