3.5 month ish veiled may have an ri, would/could this affect growth and appetite?

sure it could. It is like having a cold, and you know how you feel when you have a cold, you don't want to eat. If he doesnt eat, then of course it will effect his growth, but if you mean overall no. A RI is not going to stunt his growth or anything like that. Why do you think your cham has RI?

And you need a vet visit for that.
