RI after effects?

Hank has a RI and is on anti-biotics, is it normal to not want to eat while being treated? He is basking again with little to no mouth gaping anymore but hasn't eaten in 2 days, when should I get worried?

Keep him well hydrated when on antibiotics and if he doesn't eat in the next day or two I would stick a small silkworm or two in his mouth and get him to eat.

If I dont see him drink, how do I make sure he is hydrated? I have read that showering may help, but am clueless on that! do you just let them get the steam to breath or actually let them in the water?

With regard to showering, I used to put a pathos in my bathtub and put my veiled on it, turn the water on warm, pull the shower curtain across and let him literally shower in the water and steam for a good half hour or longer. He loved it! However, as he got older, I came to the realization that my shower head was quite high up on the wall and the weight of the water as it fell on him may have been too heavy - but, my guy loves his showers, so I didn`t want to stop them altogether. What I finally ended up doing is, I came across an attachment for my kitchen sink tap that turns the water flow into a shower type spray just like my bathroom shower. I put a log into the sink under the spray and put my guy on it...and he`ll literally stay under the spray for hours if I let him!!

Having said all this tho, I have a wee little veiled girl who I`ve had from 11 weeks (she`s 10 months now!) and she doesn`t quite know what to make of the shower when I put her under. It is a `learned` habit, but in the long run, a great habit to instill in them! It may take a bit of `training` to get your cham used to it, but again, I highly recommend it!
