Retractable poop

I was watching my cham today and all of a sudden I see something come out of his behind lime a flower like shape or something.. It was out for about 5 seconds and then he retracted it back in. What wa that??

a penis is external, hemipenes are inside the chameleon body, internal. Hence the name hemipenal bulge (at the base of your chams tail)

most birds don't have penises or hemipenes. Ducks and geese *do* have a penis, and is can be sort of bizzare in the case of some ducks. Not sure, but I thought swans did have one. Common chickens do not. (Insert joke here).
