Hey guys,

I have a Reptisun T5 HO Terrarium Hood 60cm/24in and it says on the back of the box it came in that a Reptisun T5 HO 5.0 UVB 24w 55cm should be used. I bought both today and unfortunately the strip doesn't seem to fit in the hood? Is it just me?
Thanks - G

T5 sizes are universal for length and wattage

T5 14W 22"
T5 21W 34 "
T5 28W 46 "
T5 35W 58 "
T5 HO 24W 22 "
T5 HO 39W 34 "
T5 HO 54W 46 "
T5 HO 80W 58"

Either is waaaaaaaay off, its not a T5 (either hood or bulb, since a t8 is only 2" difference in length), or you are installing it incorrectly.

A bit too long!
You can probably just spread the ends out a little. I am an electrician and sometimes the sockets are a bit to close together and sometimes they are a bit to far away. You may have to force it in there but try not to break the bulb. Florescent bulbs explode when broken.

Or the slots are not aligned, or they have spin locks and OP is 1/2" off because one side is in and one side cant fit because its locked and the slot is not exposed.
