Reptisun fixture size vs cage size

I recently got a 24" Reptisun uvb light fixture for my 18" wide cage. Having the fixture overhang the cage that much seems like overkill and an accident waiting to happen. Reptisun also makes a 14" uvb fixture and a 15w bulb for it. Is that too small to be useful ? I would use the 10.0 uvb bulb

they should also make an 18" if I remember correctly. Unless they suddenly stopped. Either way I don't see a point in using a 10.0 for a chameleon, and having a 14" on an 18" cage is perfectly fine.

10.0 Reptisun is just fine. But as always, make sure there is foliage for the cham to get out of it if it pleases.

They make a 20" non-HO fixture that uses an 18" bulb. Maybe that's what you are thinking.
