Reptisun 10.0 Questions

I recently just switched out my 5.0 Reptisun for a 10.0 due to me getting the 5.0 tested and it was barely putting out anything. I got the 10.0 for free long story short.

My chams basking spot is 10 inches down from the uvb through mesh.. that's as close as he can get. (with the top of his body being about 7-8 inches through mesh)

I'm wondering if i'm safe with the 10.0, a lot of members on here use it apparently without problems.

If not i'll just purchase a 5.0 again no worries. Just wanted to know what you guys think for a little peace of mind.

Many members will use 10.0 if the mesh top is thicker, or black. I used 10.0 without any problems.

I personally use 5.0 and have a basking branch within 6" of the top, any lower and they seem to hang upside down directly under the light. Not sure if that would hurt them but I personally don't like them being that close.
