Reptile shop... not taking proper care of their Sambava Chameleon?? VIDEO ATTACHED

So today I went down to the reptile shop (where we got Kaji - our baby sambava - a couple of weeks ago) to pick him up some food.
We thought we'd go and see how his brothers and sisters are doing as we were there and see if the adult male Sambava was still there.
The babies were in one small square glass fronted viv (most of them ALOT smaller than Kaji... maybe even half his size) then the adult sambava was in the same size glass fronted viv besides them. I took a video of him in his enclosure and would really appreciate it if anyone would want to watch has an opinion on this his enclousure and many other things which looks wrong to me...

He was so happy and friendly (we held him for a good 5 mins after I took the video, he climb straight on my hand and didn't want to go back!) The thing is I really want to buy him cuz his personality and character was just amazing but he is £350 and really can't afford that money right now + housing. But if I had the money I wouldn't even think about it I would having taking him home today.

Is he gorgeouse. I don't have any experience in patters. I want one though. U want to first breed my male veiled and buy a female and have a little bit more experience first. Because I want all my animals to be happy and importantly healthy. He looks like good character you should definently buy him

What you just explained is cruel! I swear pet shops are the worst with pets. they don't know how to properly care for them! They tell me information about chameleons and how to care for them that is totally wrong!! I wish I could give that little guy a home! It's not his fault he's $350. He wanted to go home with you! Awwww lol poor little guy! I fall in love with evey animal I see at the pet store though lol and wanna buy them just because of the way they are living there. One day I'll have a pet shop and run it the right way! and never want to sell any of my animals

It looks big enough and not really that bad to me. As long as he gets misted and fed in there I dont think it's that bad. Much better than many if the other pet stores I've seen. Keep in mind pet stores are only meant to have the animals for a short while so it's supposed to be temporary.

If he is normally that red in a relaxed state and colors up even more when fired up, just wow. Its something like $550 in US dollars. He's a pretty guy.

Cheers guys, well it's not temporary that's the thing... he's been there for 3 months already :-s we are going to wait for is another pay day or as soon as we can afford to have him. But if he's not gone before then we will give him a home for sure!!! Might go visit him on my next day off just to see him and how he's doing! I've only had a chameleon just over 2 weeks and I want to fill my spare room with them! They are incredible animals!!!

The enclosure does not look really bad to me. But the animal looks pretty dehydrated..
