This week's Reptile/Amphibian of the Week is...
The Shovel-Nosed Snake!
The Shovel-Nosed Snake is a ground snake slightly larger than an actual Ground Snake and is also related to them. Snout projecting but flattened. A yellowish, egg-laying sand burrower with black and pink rings. The Shovel-Nosed Snake's light snout distinguishes it from the similar-looking Sonoran Coralsnake which has a black snout.
