I plan on introducing another chameleon cage into my collection. What is the best and efficient way to keep humidity correct in the two cages? Petco has the reptifogger for 47.99 and free shipping at the moment. Should I get it or should I go with another alternative? Also on a budget. :D

i only use my repti fogger when they are shedding... it seems to lower my temps quite a bit and it does SOAK the cage if left on for a few hrs. good product but for regular humidity i use a spraybottle.

Before you decide on the Reptifogger, check the prices of ultrasonic room humidifiers in your area (at home improvment stores or larger pharmacies). They tend to be sturdier with larger fans and nebulizers, produce more fog (which may be better if you want to spread the humidity over 2 cages), don't need refilling as often because they have larger reservoirs, and you can adapt the fog spout with pvc pipe or flexible pool tubing to aim the fog just where you want it.

You could also do some trials with misting and hand spraying to see if you even need a fogger. What's the humidity level in your room generally?

The humidity in my room is about 45-50% and right after a spray in the enclosure the humidity is 73%

I have a reptifogger and the water looks like it disappears right away, I rarely see a drop form, and the mist reaches four inches. Wasn't very impressed with it myself.

I use mine coming in from the top, near my heat lamp in my jacksons cage. It sort of heats the mist into a cloud. Alot of it falls to the bottom, but it has alot of foliage to fall through, it keeps it very wet. I use the exo-terra fogger, but would probably just convert a walgreens cool mist humidifier if I had to do it again. It can really help with humidity levels if your having an issue with humidity.
