It says a year but this is what ive been told to change it every 6 months for better results. Just what I hear so not a fact ive proven just what ive been told maybe someone can elaborate on it more GL.

about 6 months

you can buy a meter which tells how much uv the light is exposing.

I'm kinda cautious of them now. I ordered one from LLL Reptile a couple of months ago & it just burnt out this weekend

which ones the compact or flourcent contact iilreptiles maybe if you tell them what happened they can get you a new one?

I actually called them today & they gave me the contact info for the manufacturer & they're shipping a replacement.
It was actually a Exo Terra Sun Glo 100 Watt Neodymium bulb
