I put the absorbent reptile carpet on top of the table that the cage sits on, and underneath the cage. Not inside the cage, just underneath it so water gets absorbed. Keeps humidity up and isn't inside the cage itself so all of the no substrate nazis on here won't freak out.
I've lost a baby veiled from an intestinal blockage due to accidentally eating substrate. I'm sorry if it comes across harsh, but it's a very serious matter that's important for your cham's well being.
The frame of the reptarium sits on the edges of the tub. I was lucky & found the right size tub for this to work. Plus I kind of have a special set up because my adopted cham w/ the mbd. I have the cage laying on it's side so an under the bed storage box worked.
