Start with some basic corrections. You could start by dropping that temperature down and have it get to 85 at the hottest. There is a chance that you could be giving her some serious heat stress with heat that high.

You could also switch out that coil bulb for something proven to be safe. Switch it out for a reptisun 5.0 linear uvb bulb.

Is there an additional vent anywhere in the cage other than just the screen top? With heat like that if you may want to get a screen cage instead as it will give some better air circulation and will probably cool it down some.

How often is water available?

What is your dusting schedule?

No don't go the reptiaid way. Use that if there is problem, if she is not hungry try giving her some silkworms Im sure she will like those babies if not silkworms then try giving another type of feeder.

no her cage is two sides screen top and a four foot by two foot side i dont believe that that is a problem....she gets water about twice everyday.....i talked to my light bulbs ccompany about the lights and stuff and they conducted a research experiment and a "specialist" contacted me back an said the reptium 5.0 coil has no bad effect on a chameleon....... calcium everyother day...calciumD3 twice a month... multivitimin twice a month........why not reptaid wont that maybe perk her up???? what do i need to do....

My husband works for a pet supply distributorship and SUPPOSEDLY the Flukers has changed its bulb to be safe. Just don't get the desert one as it is specifically made for other types of reptiles that live in the desert (duh). I don't know ... I need to do more research as the ones made 4 years ago weren't safe and damaged Arnie's eyes.

I sure would like to know more as it seems their penetration is better in the large cages.

Sounds like she may still have some eggs in her. I say this because first infertile eggs tend to be smaller and I have seen some females not lay them all at once and second this would explain why she is still aggressive and not eating much. I would feel her stomach to see if there are any jelly bean like eggs in there and I would continue to offer her a place to lay.

Is she sill around the bottom of the cage the majority of the time?

Whatever the problem is, that heat needs to be lowered.

i agree it does need to be lowered ummmm she it typically at the top of the 4 foot cage maybe three/ fourths of the way up she was upside down on my hand yesterday and her belly like came in and looked like a cave kind of idk how to explain it exactly but i dont really see or feel any eggs but who knows i really would hate to spend $150 to see the vet plus whatever an x-ray is however they check for eggs.... i spoke to a vet who is an "exotic specialist" and she asked my temp range and i told her that its approx 69-98 degrees and she said to increase the temp so she is sitting in the high range of heat huh i definately thought that panthers shouldnt exceed high temps like that ugh i dont think this "specialist" knows what she is talking about and i hate to spend a crap ton of money that i dont have for some BS responce idk im very confused on what should be done should i try reptaid???? like what exactly does this product do???? if my female has eggs will this product help her lay them wether it makes her realize they are in her or push them out i havent the slightest clue??????

everyone please help

go to my thread reptaid and look at the pics what is wrong??? please read my thread i REALLY need help a chameleons life might be on the line

okay well then it was about gravid now i find weird poop and she stopped eating normally i scheualed a vet appt like you said then canceled cuz she was laying eggs 30 min from appt time so i was planning on it like you said

Generally if a female chameleon lays eggs and then doesn't eat after, there is a problem...such as retained eggs....eggbinding. Does she have a place to dig in her cage to show you that she is needing to lay eggs? If she still has eggs in her that should have been laid but weren't then they IMHO need to come out.

If she's eggbound I don't know of any solution except to take her to a vet and have her spayed when its been 3 weeks since she has laid the clutch.

However, if she ate well immediately after she laid the eggs and then several weeks later slowed down her eating, she could be getting ready to lay eggs again..especially if you mated her in the last month or so. Did you mate her at all?

i never have mated her and i dont really want to spay her i wanna have a breeding experience and yes she has a laying area but my concern is the poop now its red !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ryan-

I am not sure how else to say this as everyone has already tried...take her to the vet. You have been having on and off issues with this female for at least 1-2 months, correct? You mention that a chams life might be at stake, take her to a specialist. None of us are vets, and can only give you advice based on what we have experienced, or in some peoples case what they have read on here. You also mention you want a "breeding experience". I would never breed a female with health issues, nor would I put a females life at sake so that I could have one. I wouldn't be sweating over $150 vet visit either if i had a cham that had been ill for as long as your female has. Your info on what you do and do not do as far as husbandry tends to go back and forth from your posts I have read. Understand that I am not trying to rag on you, just give you a dose of reality. It sounds like you are looking for an easy fix here with the Reptaid. I can assure you that you will not find any experienced keepers on here that will tell you that is the cure for your cham. If you want someone to tell you to try it, well then by all means go ahead. But along with trying that, I urge you to take her to the vet as well...your chams appears to be ill and needs a professional to give you a diagnosis.

Also, I am extremely disappointed to see that you bumped your ad for her in the "for sale" section. Shame on you for trying to sell a cham that you very well know is sick. Selling her is one thing, adopting her out to someone who can afford her proper vet care is another.
