Repashy Calcium Plus

absolutely NOT what was said. Indeed, I explicitly stated this is NOT what I was meaning.

My apologies- I misread and thought you were saying one thing while implying another. Sometimes text is not the best communication method. Sorry about that.

I have only bought one panther cham from the Kammer's and it died suddenly
and mysteriously after a year.
He also (according to the vet) had a neurological problem which affected his
coordination, so had to be hand fed.
He was also abnormally small, and his tail was only half the normal length.

Camimom commented on this when she was here to deliver Smidget.

He developed tumors on both sides of his neck and died the very day of his vet
appointment.

So I have no comments on the validity of their husbandry practices.

Yeah to be fair too- last time I purchased from the Kammers it was before rhapeshy products were even available.

But from past experience with them- I really really doubt they would do anything for the care of their animals that they did not feel was best for their animals.

As for your experience- I really don't know what to make of it as it is so different from my own experience. The tail thing would be the thing that would bother me most about that as they should have known something was not right with the animal if it had an abnormal tail. I would never even allow an animal like that out of here, and it bothers me greatly that they did...

accepted - no worries. You're totally right that typing is often inadequate for fulsome communication :)

Kammers have a pretty good rep overall. I didn't want to come off suggesting otherwise so Im sorry I wasn't clear.

I dare say any breeder of significance is occasionally going to produce an imperfect animal - sometimes the defect isn't obvious. If such a thing occurred, how the situation was rectified would be the key.

It bothered me too, since Kammers have a super high rating, and have been
breeding chams over 30 years.
But I started noticing things after a few months, I thought it was just my imagination, because I worry about everything.
But some time later, when he really started having problems, other people noticed it too.
He was my first panther cham, so I didn't know 100% what to expect, and I
read on the Kammers website that they had worked with Allen Repashy and agreeded to a controlled experiment with a group of chams using calcium plus (the original formula) and had concluded they liked it well enough to officialy recommend it. So I started using it too.

I'm not inferring that the Repashy product, and my sick cham are connected.

I don't know what it was, but I do know I would be very leery to buy another cham from them, regardless of their reputation.
My cham was $450 + the $55 for shipping, one of their "high pedigree" chams.

If my chams problems were genetic, surly this would show up in other chams
of the same sire and dame, even if recessive

I finally found these "collard greens" I heard of and grabbed a couple leaves from the store. My crickets are DEVOURING what I put in lol.. not too sure about the dubias though

sort of off-topic but had to post
