Repashy Bug Burger

Hello All,

I am housing about 1000-3/8 inch crickets in a 20 gallon tank. I am planning to start using Repashy Bug Burger from time to time. I wanted to get some feedback from people that are already using it. How quickly does the product go bad at room temperature? I am trying to figure out how much should I put in the tank at a time so they cricket will finish it before I throw in the next batch of fresh Bug Burger. Thank you in advance for any replies.

Kind Regards.

I don't know about it going bad. It is a powder and I looked on the bag I have and do not see an expiration date. I know you are supposed to add water and cook it, but I just sprinkle it over the food and the crickets go crazy for it. I found them to not be so enthusiastic when I cooked it and served it that way! Just my two cents...:) Or do you mean going bad once you cook it? for which I still do not have an answer!

I like using it in powder form. Crickets and dubias love it. I sprinkle it on all the gutload veggies I give in addition to Repashy superload. As stated on the package refrigeration will prolong product life. I assume that's when cooked but keeping the bag sealed has worked well for just the dry.

I never thought about using it in powdered form! What a great idea! And my wife will love me not using her tupperware anymore :)

My crickets also prefer it in powder form. When i used to cook it, it would dry out in a day or two…so, i do what others have said, use it as part of my dry gut load.
