Rep-Cal or Miner-all Supplements

I currently use rep-cal supplements, but was wondering if Miner-all is any better in comparison to rep-cal? What are the pros and cons of each? What do you use?

I use both of them. Rep-cal W/o D3 3 days out of the week and MinerAll-O the other 3. I don't really notice a difference other than MinerAll is rasberry flavor and more a fine powdery consistancy and Rep-cal is more coarse than MinerAll. Minerall has minerals in it that Rep-cal doesn't, but I don't really notice a difference.

I like them both. Minerall sticks to superworms! The indoor formula for minerall has way less d3 so it can be used more often safely. You could probably use it 6 or so times a month if you wanted.

My tortoise likes minerall better than rep-cal. Dunno why, he just does :)

rep-cal vs miner-all

there is nothing wrong with repcal plain calcium, it is the same as any other reptile calcium. the problem i have with repcal with D3, is that it is just too strong (400,000 iu/kg). it is just too concentrated to deliver an appropriate dose. i prefer lower dosage products, compared to repashy calcium with med. D3 (50,000 iu/kg) it is 8x stronger, compared with repashy with lo-D3 (20,000 iu/kg) it is 20x stronger, compared to sticky tongue farms miner-all with D3 indoor formula it is almost 91x stronger. so your regimen would be entirely different depending on which one you use. jmo

Good point thanks, although i dont really use calcium with d3 very much due to my chameleons being outside anywhere from 12 to about 24 hours a week. This month, however, i did give them some d3 because they havent been outside in about 2 weeks because the weather has been too cold and rainy. What i do when i feed d3 is very lightly coat about 6 of my staple feeders and cup feed them to know he ate them all. I probably will switch my calcium with d3 supplement to miner-all though.

Both products are good.

I like the rep-cal plain calcium because it doesnt seem to clump up as easily as the finer Miner-al. Historically I only used rep-cal, but I currently have both. Both stick to feeders just fine.

If you choose the Rep-cal calicum with D3, it is more potent than the Miner-al indoors with D3. So you'd only use the rep-cal about twice a month, whereas you could use the Miner-al product 4 times a month, or more (depending on your gutload and outdoors time).
