Removal Question

I am moving my chameleon Jake into a new cage. The other day I got him out while wearing some black mechanics gloves. Once he was out he noticed the yellow on the back of the hand and in between the clevises of my fingers. He started ramming his head into my fingers and bit me a couple of times. It was not causing me any pain, but I didn't want him to hurt himself. I quickly took him back to the cage and had some trouble getting him to leave my hand alone.... lol he wouldn't let go and was just pissed as could be. I have never seen him so aggressive.

This all happened about two days ago. Now I am trying to get him to come out of his cage. I tried the gloves... but he just fired up and turned into a pancake whipping his tail around and doing the leaf dance. I tried white socks and he wasn't fooled. Then I tried just my hand and he doesn't fire up like with the gloves, but he moves about as if he is going to strike my fingers. I might have some black socks I can use.

Any advise would be helpful. I have read about chams going on food strikes when moved due to the stress... I don't want him to freak out from being removed and then in a new unfamiliar place. I don't take him out much and the last week and half he hasn't been bothered by people walking by his cage, my GF and I have been out of town. A friend would come over and feed him and Fred once a day, he must be spoiled.

they say brown gloves are best. i use black and havent had
a single negative issue with them. it seemed to work on a male
and female Veiled and male Mafana sooo... try either. hope that
helps!!!

Whenever he sees my hand in brown gloves, he immediately jump off the vine and skydive:eek:
