im wondering, can i use a regular flourecent balast(fixture) to house a linear uvb tube? like a balast from crappy tire or home depot and put a uvb linear tube in it? or does it need to be a special balast? i hate my spiral uvb bulbs, havent had any issues with my chams using them(i am aware of chams having "eye" troubles with them in a few cases) but i want a bit more light and a broader uvb area of lighting for them..thanks everyone:)

u can use ne t8 flourecent fixture u can find i would make sure it has instant electric start if u want to use it on a timer tho as magnetic ones u will have to turn on manually.
