Regal Horned Lizard. Cool video

Check out this video of a horned lizard. Growing up they were everywhere, but now they are harder to find.
Look at how much blood they squirt out in defense.

Yeah, they used to be all over Texas, too. I used catch them as a kid. One reason I've heard for their decline is the fire ants have driven out their primary food, the big red ant (sorry, I don't know the proper term). You almost can't find the red ants anymore, and as such, you can't find the horned lizard either.

Right, in california on the beach, there was an area that had nothing but little shrubs, and they were everywhere. I used to catch them and they were the coolest lizard ever.
Then i went back a few years later, and not one was to be found.
The ants they eat are harvester ants, and those ants online to buy are like ridiculously priced.
1000 for 40 bucks, and some of these lizards can consume hundreds in a da y.

The chameleon videos were really cool too.
I have always wanted to see a baby chameleon dig its way out of a natural nest.
Yea, I just saw my first green anole today.
It has been about a year since I have seen one in my yard.
I snapped a couple of pictures.

SO COOL! I went to New Mexico when I was 13 and caught 2 of these guys. Eunice I think was the small towns name. This is sad that they are not around or harder to find now for they are one of the coolest lizards I have seen.

Does anyone else see green anoles around their home?
I was thinking about trying to breed some and up the population around my home.
A couple of years ago when I was younger I had about 20 in a large cage.
They were quite prolific, and for about a year I saw them all over the place.
It wasnt till after I hatched the eggs and let them go that I saw them.
The darn brown(cuban) anoles take over everything.
Is there a reason why they can do this?
