Red patch?

Ive noticed recently a red patch on the inside of the back foot on my cham almost asif he's had friction burn or accumulating a sore of some sort, anyone any clues???
I will try for some pictures asap but he seems to still have strong grip and doesn't seem as though its affecting him, he's still feeding fine but is currently shedding, hopefully this can be resolved without the use of vet bills as im moving out and am rapidly using up all my funds, but if needs be my cham is always going to come first!!!!

Could be the branches or vines you are using. Pay
particular attention to the areas he uses the most, basking spots, feeding stations, etc. You don't want an abrasion to become infected. Also make sure the cage dries out in between mistings. An abrasion can become an open sore that fungi and bacteria can thrive in a moist environment. I would change out the branches and put some Silver Sulfadiazine cream on at night when he is sleeping. This sort of thing usually happens with bigger species of chameleons. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for the reply....
He has recently moved from his usual basking spot but i just assumed it was due to his plant dieing back and exposing the area, his branches have never been changed since ive had him so some new ones will be picked if necessary, im picking them off a willow tree we have chopped down in the garden, he's never had problems before so im assuming it will be safe to pick from the same tree again?
I think it may be due to my misting patterns, the hole viv is sprayed on a regular basis when im in after 6pm so its pretty much soaking wet from the min i get in through to the next morning and my cham has a shower every day, could this be a problem?

I am assuming you have a veiled and he doesn't need that much moisture.
The cage needs to dry out between mistings.

I checked Pickles feet this morning and they looked like they healed up on their own. I'm going to put larger branches in all their cages this weekend though.

Padre had this problem and Dr. Alfonso had me get bigger around branches for him (fatter branches) and it really helped.
