LED's to produce the same amount of visible light yet requires less energy. aka an led to produce light that a 60 watt incandescent would produce only require 9 watts of electrical energy (Roughly). This depends on the manufacturer and driver installed. Similarly a CFL bulb would require 15 watts of electrical energy (roughly) depending on manufacturer to match the same 60 watt incandescent.
As for color now days you can just about get an LED or CFL in any color. Warm white is around 3000K (closer to incandescent). 6500K is a pure white color.
RED led's have proven to help the plant in photosynthesis production. So while a 6500K light will help grow a plant a red led will directly help with the photosynthesis. At the same time the jungle dawn LED from light your reptiles is probably far superior to a couple of RED led's added to a terrarium. It has to do with the amount of light ouput and penetration from the led as well.
Have I used either of these, no. There is no such thing as too much red led, no. The plant may grow awkwardly and not look natural because it is not receiving the blue and green colors it requires as it would from natural sunlight.
In my personal opinion a mix of red and 6500K such as the zoo med Reti LED is a good abomination of full spectrum and red led. 1/3 of it is red and 2/3 is 6500K. It also has 1 blue LED to again help with the color.
The jungle Dawn 22 watt LED is over 2000 Lumens. This means it will have excellent penetration and with how many leds in such a condensed area is has the light output would have great penetration and provide a very natural light.
I do not believe you could go wrong with either. However there is a balance, as long as you balance the light between the different wavelengths or use full spectrum there's no reason either should.
