Hello someones going to give me a pygmy chameleon and I have a question. where I live it gets to the low 50s and high 100F how do I keep my temperature maintained? I live in the garage and I saw FL chams care sheet and they say pygmys need 75-83 room temps how do I keep the temp low in the summer and warm in the winter I'm more concerned with the hotter seasons though as last summer we had a day at 117F and the garage is not connected to the main house for AC I have 2 fans and 1 AC but not sure if that's enough any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated thanks!

I would say in the winter you can use a carefully monitored heat lamp, but in the summer you need to give it to someone with adequate temps or get AC.

Ive seen people say that you shouldn't put a fan directly facing the cage, why is that wouldn't that cool the cage down during summertime?

A fan in that kind of heat will just blow hot air into the cage. They really will not do that well in temps over 90.

you know I'm pretty sure my mom will let me have him in the house if it gets to hot hes small and doesn't take up much room so ill do that.

well did more research on them and even though this chameleon is a free gift I wont accept it, it pains me to do so but I do not have the proper stuff to take care of it so all rejoice a chameleon wont die because of my research! I didn't know pygmy were different than veilds maybe another day I'll get one.

Good for you. :) Pygmy's are not all that expensive so when you are ready to have one and have his/her proper set-up and accessories, it'll be a pleasant experience. ;)
