I thought maybe my Trioceros sternfeldi - (Rudis) was gravid, but maybe not. So I put them together today and he immediately went to her and mounted her (see picture) In all fairness she did try to run away. Would he have been allowed to do that if she was gravid? But then she kept chasing him around and trying to bite him. Their colors were beautiful (see picture), she did not turn dark or seem to change color to scare him off. So on the one hand he did get to mount her and their colors were great, but on the other hand she was annoyed and kept chasing him and biting him. So looking at the last picture of them together, sorry its a little blurry, do you all think she is or is not gravid? ... Should I put them together a few more times to see how they behave or is it safer to leave them apart for a while?

Well, she is not Gravid but, she has receptive colors. Receptive colors is when she is ready to mate, she will be Bright Green with Bright Yellow Spots. Gravid colors is she is ready to lay her eggs, she will get really dark colors like: Dark green, Black, Yellow etc. but, she will get really aggressive so you might want to leave her alone.

I have a female with her receptive colors and today I was holding her and she opened her mouth so I got scared and she bit the crap out of my arm there was a rhombus/diamond shape on my arm for an hour and it hurt bad too.
