Really Off-Topic, but Pottermore...

I'm registered (my daughter stayed up until 3am to grab that magic quill for me) but haven't gotten my "go forth and Potter" e-mail. I assume those will start coming after the Quest is officially over. She got herself registered the first night and me the second. Hopefully that means we'll be among the first wave to get into the site.

She got in the first night and STILL hasn't received the email? Geez, being the fourth day I must get it in a long time....

Well, we both got the initial "you've successfully registered, now you have 48 hours to activate your account" e-mails. And, we've activated our accounts. However, they are wary of just opening the site to everyone all at once so will be sending out "your okay to come in now" e-mails in groups over time. I suspect they've grown familiar with the way Potter fans can flood a server and cause it to crash even when it's the middle of the night in large parts of the world.

So, did anyone else get in? The early enrollment is over.

From the Insider blog:

Today, The Magical Quill challenge came to an end, which means that there are no more Beta places available.

If you weren’t lucky enough to secure early access to Pottermore, don’t worry; the site will be open to all from October. Keep returning to Pottermore to find out when registration begins and continue to visit the Insider for the latest Pottermore news and updates from the team.

If you did register for early access, then congratulations! Please note that we will not be enabling early access to the site straight away. We will send successful early access registrants a Welcome email, letting them know when they will be able to access Pottermore. We won’t be able to let everyone into the Beta site at the same time, so please be patient with us. You may have to wait a few weeks for your Welcome email to arrive.

I got in this morning, with the Day 6 clue. I got up early to write a paper, thought "what the heck", went to Pottermore, and there it was! :)

I wanted a beta account, but kept missing the times because of work, homework, or passing out. I'm pretty excited.

my girlfirend just got the exceptance email but wont be able to enter till mid august, so in the next few days. Dont see whats so great about this thing and she has never given me a clear answer.

I'm looking forward to it. The fact is it's hard to know how to explain it until we're actually able to log in and look around.

I'm pretty entertained by the you're-in-but-not-really(yet) email everyone is getting.
