rain system

Hello was hoping some one could help me I brought a dig dripper for my chameleon but found it useless so have ordered a rain system was just wondering if I need to have a bowl at the bottom of the viv to catch the water that runs off the leaves

you will want some sort of bin to catch all the excess water, some people drill holes in the bottoms of their cages and place it over a bin, or you could put a substrate tray inside the cage as long as you put some sort of mesh over it so your cham doesnt drown on accident if it falls into it. I still dont know how I am going to set up my drainage system when I get my big cage and a auto-water system (also havent made up my mind on the system either >.<)

although theoretically with the proper amount of plant ratio you could have very little excess water and a good source of humidity with the rain system
