So we have had a good experience so far with our babies! We have 12 babies with 7 more eggs left to hatch. Most of the eggs are shrinking and look like they are going to pop any day! We have split the babies up into two tanks because of sizes. Seems to be a good move because of food competition. We have going through lots of fruit flies and actually made out first couple cultures! We shall see how that turns out. We did have an odd situation with one egg. It had shrunk and stayed shrunk for over a week. We got a little suspicious when it didn't pipe so we investigated a little more with a magnifying glass and we found that there were, what we thought to be, nematodes. We quarantined the eggs and waited a couple days. I have searched on here and also got some response on an old thread but not to many people have experienced this. When we cut the eggs open, it had a baby in it but it smelled like dirt/ earthworms. it was very odd. We flushed it.
