Quick mistking and fogger question

I plan on buying the mistking for a large dragonstrand atrium cage and was wondering if this should be the one to go with?

There's a few of them i see on the site, but it just seems to be for the number of nozzles they can use? Any suggestions on how many i should run in my cage?

Also i wanted to do something cool with the bottom of the cage since substrate isn't a good idea, i was wondering if a fogger could be used to have fog covering the bottom? Idk how they work i've never used one before, it's just a thought lol. If you guys happen to have any ideas for making the bottom of the cage more interesting please let me know

Thanks

The smallest mistking is still way more than you need for one enclosure. So it will be more than plenty. I would have two nozzles in the enclosure....maybe two dual nozzles, but definitely not needed.

Substrate is in everyone of my enclosures. It is not bad, you just have to set your enclosure up properly in order for it to be effective. The foggers will cause a layer of fog while the machine is running and then quickly dissipate as soon as it is shut off. Most can't run that long without either burning up or running out of water. I run them in my glass enclosures and the fog dissipates after about 60 seconds. So, in a screen enclosure, I'm sure it would be less than half that time.

So the mistking has me a little confused to have 2 nozzles then what should i buy? The one i linked only comes with one nozzle, the idea is to have 2 in the corners of the cage i would guess? Will i need anything else with it? Sorry for all the questions, just trying to make sure i spend the $ on the right thing lol.

As for substrate, is it hard to maintain, any links for a set up guide out there? I don't plan on doing that immediately, but it could be a cool project for the future once i am comfortable with my cham cage.

Thanks!

You're right, it only comes with one nozzle. I would just buy another nozzle. The wedge supports are a must if you ask me. Well worth the extra money. That is all you will need essentially.

I have bioactive substrates, so they maintain themselves. Well, about 90% of it. The key is good drainage. If you go online, just look into proper ways of setting up vivariums with bioactive substrate. Once you get the materials, it is really simple. Then you can add the isopods, springtails, etc.

I don't know if Bill makes a substrate pan for the new atrium cages yet or not. I would shoot him an email and ask though. That would make it very simple.

Just sent him an email asking, that would be great, i love the idea of a bioactive substrate. I come from reef aquariums and all of the bugs and layers remind me of an aquarium ecosystem/clean up crew. That's half the fun for me.

Also the rain nozzle for mistking looks pretty cool, any experience with that? My cage is in my living room and i don't like the idea of a big bottle of water(for the dripper) just sitting on top of the cage. Wondering if anyone has an idea to make it blend in a little better?

Thanks for helping!
