heyy i have a panther chan upstairs and a beardie down stairs. When i feed and handle beardie i use just hand sanatizer, before i go near the chameleon....is that okay or should i wash hands thouroghly too? i know he is a big carrier of cocidia.

So also i have a slight issue that is making me mad. My cham has only been in my care for several days so he still runnes away from me when i go near him. his basking spot is right next to the door so when i oopen it to spray the plants down he runes away and dosent come out of hiding for 10 mins...i feel horrible disturbing him and slightly stressing him...whhat should i do?

Don't spray directly on him and use VERY warm water. I sometimes spray from the top of the cage down so it is like a shower. The whole purpose in spraying the cage is to get the leaves really wet so they can drink from the leaves and branches. It isn't necessary to spray them. They get plenty of moisture from the humidity.

I personally would wash my hands and still use the sanitizer also. And just wet down his leafs and vines. It's there nature to drink from the leafs.
