first off i would like to say sorry for all the questions :( so i decided to change my whole lighting for my veilds after getting my panther an learned so much about lighting so i got a zoo med terrarium hood with a reptisun 5.0 bulb did i make the right decision for my panther and should i also do the same for my veilds? i have a mini dome light with a reptiglo 5.0 coil bulbs in it and for the basking i have a 75 watt thing i got from petsmart ( honestly i think it may be to hot for them any suggestions?) i have a light stand holding the lights. so do you think i should get the zoo med terrarium with the repti sun bulb to for them? and if so can i be able to just put the hood on the screen? with a basking light in a corner for them? also i really want to take my babies to the vet just make sure everything is going good for them and they are healthy but the question is how do you get three chameleons to a vet safe and sound without stressing them out and what to put them in haha

Have you checked the basking temps for your Veiled's? I always keep a thermometer right by their basking branch to make sure they don't get too hot. Especially if they are younger. If I were you, I'd get the fluorescent linear type lights for them as well (as you did for the Panther) the reptisun or reptiglo 5.0. For basking you just need a regular household incandescent bulb, 40-60watt depending on how hot you want basking temps. I use 40watt for mine and place them just above their cages, with basking perch about 5-6in down from the top of cage, and gives me basking temp in the low-mid 80's. If it gets hotter i raise the incandescent light (has a clamp that I clip to my shelving unit) and so that way I can regulate the temp if it gets too hot.

As for transporting them......you want to keep them separate still, in fairly small boxes, just tissues or a small towel will be fine, maybe a branch if you can keep it from moving around of course. It should be dark inside so they will usually just go to sleep, keeps them comfortable.

Don't be sorry for questions, that is how you learn.:) About you lighting, it is hard to answer unless we know what it lighting is on. What size and type cages, what type of decor in the cages. Also what type of temps do you have and do you measure humidity?

Let me know how your vet goes, any problem or just time for a check?
