Questions from a worried chameleon owner!

So I recently purchased my new chameleon and I decided to spice up the cage a bit ! I purchased a schefflera, repotted it and used organic soil..it deffinatly makes the cage a lot fuller..but is it too much? Also I got him on Tuesday, and he eats differently then other chameleons i've owned, he only eats about 6 crickes a day and when he eats he eats very slowly, I tried watching him eat from a far today and he gets the cricket in his mouth and then sits there with it hanging out of his mouth for about 2-3 minutes, then he will chew and repeat. I'm scared that something may be wrong or hes just tring to settle in his new cage? Also I will post a pic of the crickets, I want to know if I'm dusting correctly, and lastly anyone have good cup feeding fixture ideas? He eats from the cup and I think its best so the crickets dont lay eggs in the dirt.

The foliage should take up 50-75% of the cage, so looks good. Crickets look dusted well enough, they don't have to be completely covered white, a good light dusting is perfect. We have several Panthers that do the exact same thing, it's quite comical to see them hold the cricket in there mouth for a short period before devouring it. Not sure if anyone else will have insight in this behavior, but it hasn't proven to be of a concern to me, as our guys are completely healthy. The amount if crickets eaten will depending upon your Chams age, and the size of the cricket. We have found our Chams will typically eat their fill. We have a few adults that if given the chance will gorge them selfs, but for the most part the Chams simple eat what fills them up.

I just got my little guy a couple of days ago, and he eats the same way! maybe they want to wait until the bug stops wiggling before they swallow. :p

Haha it is funny because he will sit there and just look around with it in his mouth. And thank you crazy chamguy, its a little reviving that yours act the same!:D
