Questions about poo

Lovely title eh? ok, I got my male veiled a week ago and he seams to be doing fine. His colours are light green all the time and only ever seams to change when I get too close with my hands inside the viv, even then he doesn't hiss he just shakes like a leaf a little bit.

He eats well, although not with the ferocious appetite I was expecting but he eats something everyday. He's drinking (I think) have only seen him do it a few times, and I think i've seen him do it loads more times but I can't quite tell, it looks like he drinks off the temperature probe. I mist all those leaves and he decides the water on the temperature probes is only good enough .

Onto my question. I really can't tell if he is pooing or not. I've only seen one and it looked healthy. When he did this he did it on one particular plant and this is the only time i've seen him on this plant. Does this mean he has only pooed once and has designated this spot as his toilet? i'v heard they do this and he's already chosen a sleeping spot. Or does this means he's hidden a stash of them in his pothos at the top? I would check but he loves his pothos and I don't wanna move it because it's right at the back and he's always on it! I can't actually see any faeces anywhere. My main question is how serious is it if I miss any faeces? obviously if I see some i'll remove it and disinfect the area but if I can't see any I can't get any! he's in an all screen cage so it's harder for bacteria to get going but does anyone else have this problem? and should I be at all worried he isn't as regular as maybe he should be.

Thanks for reading :)

He's 3 months. Everything's fine about his setup, good temps, all screen enclosure etc and he doesn't seam stressed. Sometimes he'll lay flat and go a little bit dark but most of the time he's basking. I've only had him a week so maybe he's still just settling in? i'm not too worried, yet!

it is normal to a point. new chams often go through an adjusting stage.mine did the same ate, drank but no poop. after a week i started to worry, he was active , but no poop. first i tried warmer than average misting. second i tried a warm bath. about 5min after warm bath he passed giant poo. now he poops every day. there poop looks kind of like a little sausage followed by a white urate. if there is yellow in urate there is possible dehydration. if this persists more than a week you should seek veteranary care. it might be seriously impacted. Do you have drip system? I had to train my cham to drink off leaves, in the pet shop he drank droplets off glass of his undersized cage. my cage is screen, no glass. at first i ran drip system 24/7, he finaly started mouthing water off leaves. now i run only during day. they seem to follow water drops to point where they drink instinctivly. remember standing water is breeding ground for bacteria, so no fountains or water dishes.

This is the second time he's done this! lol. First time I asked the breeder about him not pooing and he did one. Now I ask on here, I gave him a warm misting and he done a rather large one with completely white urates :D so everything's fine.
