Question

I actually use these on my free range setups because I can place them further away than on a traditional cage situation. They get HOT!! Others may disagree with me, but I think they are overkill as far as basking temps are concerned when using on a screen enclosure.

I use mine on the cage and put his vines low enough so his temp for basking is good hadn't had any issues he's a healthy guy just hadn't seen any discussions on them just wondered my breeder uses them too

Here's a pick of magoo

But I'll say one thing he loves his enclosure lol very dominant and protective he has gotten better with me putting my arm in no more hissing but he's def the king in there lol

Lol, my Nosy Faly is the same way. He is completely fine with my arm entering his enclosure as long as their is a hornworm on the end of it. I'm glad to see that the bulb is working out for you. It is convenient to have both heat and UVB wrapped up in one. I was looking on Zoo Med's website, and in their description of the bulb, they only list it as being recommended for panthers and veileds. So, you made a good choice!

Yeah it's def convenient. Powell your profile pic what species of Cham is he I'm not an expert yet and he's beautiful FYI . And how big will he get?

Thank you! His name is Macumba and he is a Melleri. I think Macumba will be somewhere in the 24 - 26 inch range and will probably max out around 560 - 570 grams. Some on record have reached 30 inches and 600 grams. Big fellas!

I would love one May be next year lol just got a lesser ball female for the youngest and I promised the wife red eyed tree frogs next so after that lol here's a pic of our newest
