Question on the "How to Ask For Help" form

one of the questions asks about Placement:
Placement - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor?

Wondering about the portions: is it near any fans, air vents, ...

Could someone explain what this means? I mean, is air flow desired? too much air flow is a detriment? a/c can be dry? chams don't like drafts? just curious, learning, and would like the back history on this part, if possible :)

Thanks!

I have little experience with this since my cage is always in the same place and I only have one cham. I think vents might whisk away humidity? Or disturb the cham otherwise. Cold a/c could also be very bad, as well as very hot air.

Yes, it is hopefully giving a lot of description so we can answer as accurately as possible. Placement near vents, windows, heavy traffic areas, on the floor, in closets, outside, and so on all give clues to what may be causing issues or lead to other suggestions.

As for the back story, since the form has been around longer than I have, I am just guessing that all the questions were chosen to minimize the amount of follow up queries prior to spotting what may be the best solution for the poster. I don't think it is suggesting anything is desired, especially because it is not based on any specific type of chameleon.
