Question on dusting crickets.

I have a veiled chameleon and I would like to know if I can forgo dusting crickets if the food I feed them and the quencher I have for them both have calcium in them.

I wouldn't stop dusting the insects...but there are people on here who are looking at that. I wouldn't stop the one with D3 in or the vitamin powder either.

No, sorry but you can’t. There are two standard methods of supplementation.
1) Repashy brand calcium with LoD used at every feeding and no other supplementation needed.
2) Phosphorus free calcium without D at every feeding except for once every other week use phosphorus free calcium with D3 and once every other week (alternating) use a multivitamin.
Fluker’s cricket quencher is only for hydration and the orange cubes and the like are not really any good. These may help.

I dont want to give my daughters cham too much because I know that giving them too much is just as detrimental to them as not giving them calcium at all.

I use the second supplementation schedule. I dust lightly...the feeders shouldn’t look like little snowmen. I only dust 2 out of 3 feeders. Is working well for me. It’s the D3 that you don’t want to overload on, which is why it’s given only twice/month.
