I have a group of newly imported wild-caught T. q. quadricornis and a pair of T. q. gracilior.
Not all have been checked for parasites, but one from the December shipment tested positive for roundworms, whip worms, flukes, flagellates and giardia. The other from that same shipment was wormed before testing but turned up positive for giardia after worming. I wormed everyone as if they had giardia with the exception of the gravid gracilior, waiting until she laid her clutch before worming her. She tested positive only for hook worms so she has only been wormed with single doses of Panacur.
What sort of recheck should I do on the group? How long after the last dose of Panacur? There are 8 total wild caughts. Someone will be borrowing the male that tested positive for roundworms, whip worms, flukes, flagellates and giardia. I want to be sure he is clear before I send him off.
How many clear fecals should I have done to be sure he truly is clear? I certainly don't want to send him off to infect someone else's collection, nor do I want to send him off compromised.
