Question on automatic misting with two species

I finally got my AquaZamp up and running.

I have two species--cbb veileds and wild-caught adult and juvenile quads.

The veileds don't have the same humidity requirements as the quads, from the mountains of Cameroon with up to 400" of rain a year.

Should I keep the veileds off the auto misting and just continue to hand mist and offer a dripper as I have been doing?

Thanks.

I came across the same issue. The way I fixed it was I just closed up one enclosure more than the other which raised the humidity. There is still enough opening to allow for air to get in and not be still so it works for both species. I have a jackson on one side and a veil on the other.

I have recently been thinking about an issue similar to this... and i seen where some one had a few 120v solenoid valves on mistking timers, it allowed him to turn them on and off almost at will... looked pretty neat...
im still looking for the thread... ill edit when i find it.

Edit: found the thread Here

My cages are all the same--DragonStrand breeders (with the exception of one veiled's cage that is more open. The DragonStrand breeder series are walled on three sides with a screen front and top. I can't close them up any more.

I had wondered if anyone had put an on/off valve in one of the lines (leading to the veileds, in my case) that I could manually turn on and off once a day.

I'm still afraid to set it up and use the timer. I have water nightmare fears.

lol, I understand the fear, nothing worse than drowning your house.
they do make a manual ball valve for pretty much any hose line size you have..
