Why chameleons get URI?

My cham was little bit dehydrated and I gave him a shower with flower bottle spray. He was drinking but at the end his breathing changed. Like if he would inhale water and than exhale it.

Now in cage he breaths normaly.

In his cage I maintaine humidity for about 50% and it never drops below 40%.

You said..." He was drinking but at the end his breathing changed. Like if he would inhale water and than exhale it"...he may have aspirated water....or he may have taken in too much water. Did he raise his nose slightly while doing this "changed" breathing?

I can't remember. Panic grabbed me. I took him of plant and place him in cage to warm up. Than I listened for a while and he was normally. He was hissing normally too.

Than I decided to open that thread.
