Hello!

I have had a female veiled chameleon for 3 years now and her name is sadie :). however, i am about to move across the country. this flight will take 5 hours in total plus waiting time in the airport and a 2 hour bus ride from the airport. does anyone have any suggestions on how to ensure Sadie gets there safely? will take off and landing and cabin pressure affect her?

Thanks!

Have her stay back with someone, go to where ever you need to go, get her cage and stuff ready, then have her shipped overnight to you.

If your are flying then Sadie will have to fly too but the airlines will not allow you to carry her on. Your best bet would be to leave her with a chameleon friend and then once you arrive have your friend ship her to you.

This is a good suggestion. You could almost ship her to yourself too.... if you leave in the late morning you could go to UPS and ship your cham and be to where you need to be later that day and the following morning your cham woould arrive. The issue with this is that if you are delayed in transit you might miss the arrival of your cham.... but if you time it right, could work out just fine.

I would deffinitely ship the cham. It might be hard to ensure good temps if you take her on the plane with you. You might not be able to keep her cool while on the bus or while waiting at the airport.... unless you bring cold packs.
