Hey fellas just got a new Panther Chameleon from Nuts over Chams (Matt) and everythings great! he seems to like the powersun even though people said it wasn't a good choice. Anyways, the bulb said it would last 1 year, but i heard the UVB might stop being produced at around 6 months. does anyone know when the UVB will stop being produced?

The only mercury bulb I tried literally popped after 3 days. It was hung and ballasted properly, but after the glass and toxic dust shower it gave my babies I can't recommend them!

One of our sponsors here, Light Your Reptiles (Todd Good). Should be able to answer those questions for you! He realy knows his lighting! People told me that I would not be able to keep a live hibiscus in one of my cages for long before it would die. I have had things set up the way he told me with lights I got from him and the plant is doing great! It flowers all the time too!

Myself I would never use a MVB on a Cham. I raise Chinese water dragons also and got one for my 7 ft tall enclosure and the uvb was still reading 20 at the bottom of the enclosure. The only way to know if the bulb has stopped producing uvb is with a uvb meter. This is the meter I use.
