Question about T5 5.0 light placement.

Can I put my T5 5.0 on the top of our habitat or do we need to keep it elevated? Since our baby Zelus is 3 months and he likes to climb to the top and run around a little. Not sure if that would hurt him and I don’t really want to take chances but was curious. Currently we have the T5 UVB hanging about 4 inches above the habitat.

It is really hard to gauge without a solar meter. I’ve found that many of my babies crawl all over the cage (especially panthers and veileds). They certainly get way too close to the uvb bulb, and so the safe option is to keep the uvb slightly elevated until the Cham has settled down. Consider a solar meter.
