Question about lighting

I have the combination hood and in the slot where the product is meant to put a night bulb, i want to place another bulb to bring up the basking spot temperature atop the enclosure. Just want some feedback if that would be good to do.

We can't really answer your question because we don't know what your normal temps are in the room, the cage, and how close your cham can get to the heat. All these aspects will affect what wattage of bulb you need. You don't really have to fill the socket if its not needed do you?

I'm guessing there is a UVB in the other? If so, I would suggest another UVB after about 3 or 4 months of the first. You could alternate replacing them ensuring a good UVB sourcs at all times .

The hood has three slots. One for linear uvb and 2 for regular bulbs. I was just curious if theres any harm adding a second light bulb since i have it to higher my heatspot to a more favorable temperature.

Should be no harm as long as you offer enough foliage for escaping the higher temps. You may need to switch the wattage during different times of year to maintain the proper basking temps.
