Hi
i have two chameleon, male and female, I think they mated
.
.
i have a question about gravid chameleon!!

I see puffy in the lower half of the body of the female chameleon, but when it touches the puffy, the puffy is less and disappears slightly،
And maybe that appetite has become less!
.
What skin colors of gravid chameleon?
.
What are the signs of gravid chameleon?
.
Should the male be removed, when the female is pregnant?
.

How many days do you lay eggs?
.
How many days to hatch?

In the end, I'm sorry if there are (linguistic mistakes ) in my subject, I use Google Translate, if you do not understand something tell me and I will explain to you

I have two questions before I can help you further

-What species are your chameleons? In general gravid females are heavier and look fatter, but there are other signs (such as the colors you mentioned) that can help you know for sure if she is gravid

- You said "Should the male be removed, when the female is pregnant?". The male should never be housed with a female. They should have separate cages and only be placed together if the female is receptive and you want to breed them (and even then mating takes a short time). I'm not sure if I misunderstood your caging situation, but just in case ^^

Chameleon veiled, there are pictures of him^^

I looked at the photos and she is looking quite chunky

This photo is a good example of gravid colors in a female veiled: https://www.chameleonforums.com/threads/dillys-gravid-colors.153723/

It's important to separate your chameleons (and keep them separated)!

Also you must set up a laying bin as seen here: https://www.chameleonforums.com/threads/laying-bin-set-up-educational-video.77225/

This is also a good resource in general: https://www.chameleonforums.com/blogs/egg-laying-and-the-laying-bin.345/

I only have a male chameleon, so I am by no means an expert, but I hope this helps. @jannb just hatched some gorgeous babies and I'm sure she knows more than I do. Jann if you have something I missed please feel free to add ^^"

Her striping seems odd for a Veiled, but her colors don't really seem like she is gravid, but she is kind of big. Gravid Veiled's have a gestation period of maybe one month, and the eggs depend on temperature. Signs can include pacing around the enclosure, restlessness, etc. They always should be separated.
