Question about gnats

I've been having a little Gnat problem due to a dripper leak and repotting a plant that may have had a gnat on it. Basically there's a few in there now, and today i was cleaning his poop and i found a bunch of white dots (im presuming these are gnat eggs) I wanted to know if Gnats are of any Harm to my Cham, they don't seem to bother him, but I'm not sure what goes on at night.

I've ordered a new enclosure for him, so Im gonna make sure that that one stays Gnat free (my current enclosure is glass, thats what i get for trusting my local pet shop >_>)

So should i do something do get rid of these Gnats until the new enclosure gets here, or is there nothing to worry about?

Thanks guys!

Remove all standing water sources. It sounds like you have somewhere where water is not draining in the cage, or your enclosure is stay moist 24/7.

Remove the plants and spray them with soapy water, replace these with another plant until you are gnat free.

Place a tub of water and cider vinegar somewhere around the cage, the gnats will drown in this.

If you do a search on this forum for the word GNAT you're going to find lots of good reading. There are many ways to deal with those annoying creatures. Let the soil dry completely, have a three inch layer of rocks over the soil (stops the flies from laying more eggs), nemotodes, carniverous pitcher plants, etc
