Question about closet drinking

I've heard that many chameleons prefer to drink in the comfort of solitude but i have my baby blue bar in my bedroom and am often on my pc in the bedroom. Its facing the opposite direction and i have my back to him, is that enough privacy to induce his drinking or do i need to be completely out of the room?

My bluebar drinks with me watching so im sure thats enough privacy. As long as they feel theyre not being watched if yours is a more timid cham. Even if you don't see it happening, if they have the white urate, it is.

First post of 2013, drawn to the subject of closet drinking already Right now I don't really care who knows I'm drunk and stoned .....back to the chameleons....If he's new and your first cham I can understand some concern. Really, if you have a dripper and some misting he will get enough drunk . If he has enough foliage then it shouldn't matter if you are in the room really. If you haven't seen him drink yet though then the way to tell is from the white part of his poop (urate). If it is yellowish he is dehydrated and needs extra misting.
