Question about chams that have recovered from severe MBD

Hello everyone.

My chameleon Jo-Jo is currently recovering from severe MBD. I have had her for a little over a month now, and although there have been a lot of improvements, I have a few questions.

I have been hand feeding/force feeding her everyday that I have had her. For the last two and a half weeks, I have tried putting the food in her tank so that she could try to get it on her own. If anything, she is just intrigued by the crickets, or if they get too close or crawl on her, she gets scared. When I put a cricket in her mouth she eats it, and usually when she refuses to take anymore I think she is full, which is around 7-10 medium crickets. I read that MBD can effect the use of their tongue, but I also read that they can get the ability back. This really concerns me, because I'm not going to be able to hand feed her every day for the next three or so years. She will drink on her own occasionally, but she still accepts water from a syringe.

The other concern that I have is that she does not seem to be gaining weight on her top half of her body near her front legs. She still looks rather deflated there, and, while she can now stand up on her back legs, she is no where near being strong enough to stand on her front ones. Most of the videos and articles I read said that their chameleons were walking around by one month of treatment, so I feel like I'm doing something wrong if mine isn't. She is climbing anything and everything she can get her hands on, and has been sleeping on the vines that I bought for her. She is also trying to climb on the top of the cage upside down, but every time I see her doing this I'm afraid that she will fall so I move lower.

The last question that I have is that I was wondering if she was still in pain? I know that it's very painful in the beginning, but now that her bones have started to harden back up and she is moving around again, I was hoping that she would no longer hurt all of the time.

Basically I was just wondering what everyone else's experiences have been like with the recovery part of MBD. I'm not giving up on her or anything, but I am just curious as to how she is doing compared to other chameleons that have suffered the same things.

Hi, can you give me a little more info?
How old is she now
How long has she been diagnosed
what has been your course of treatment
Tell me about your uv lighting, is she getting any natural sun?
Sorry for all the questions, I worked really hard to stop the progression and it worked. But he was in very early stages.
I and many others are happy to help

There is my original thread that I put on there. I think that it has all of the info about what happened to her and everything.

This is the last update I put of her. Those pictures are only a few weeks old, but I can post current ones if needed.

Other than what is in those threads, the only thing that I have added to her treatment is liquid calcium that I started her on about two weeks ago I think.
