Quad or Panther?

I got the itch for a new Cham and I am undecided.

I narrowed it down to a Quad or a Panther.

I already own a pair of Deremensis so was leaning a bit towards the Panther for the added color.

On the other hand Quads are just so cool looking.

Any advice?

First you need to know I am not prejudice. I do own both panthers and quads. And for me there is no question, QUADS!!!!!! Out of a number of chameleons the one I love above is my little girl Tuffy. She has been the most fascinating chameleon I have ever seen. It is hard to explain but I think I could watch this cham 24/7. I also have Jet, my other female quad, who i got as a baby. Again something about these animals, I can just not get en ought of. I can't wait until it is warm so my male can be sent to me.:D

Now don't get me wrong, panthers are also nice and I do enjoy mine, their colors are beautiful and bright. But quads have lots of colors also they are just very suddle.

I guess it comes down to personal preference, but quads are a lot closer to what you have so keep in mind that you will need to have the panthers a distance for the deremensis so the don't get too hot from the panthers heat light & the panthers are not overly happy with all the humidity for the dereemensis. There now you know all I know. Either will be a great addition & make you proud.

I vote quads too.
They are super cool- really nice skin.
Much closer to your dermensis too for requirements, which makes things easier.

Thanks.

Yeah Quads are awesome looking. Are they very lazy and stay in one spot like my Deremensis?

I think I've heard from someone here that Quads like to roam a lot, and I find it to be true. Sometimes mine lays around, but he definitely uses all parts of his cage.

I find both of my girls like to visit most all of the cage. Sometimes they sit still but not for over a few hours then on the move again. I do have quads eggs I hope will hatch within a month.:D

Thats good.

My chams hardly move. Afraid they will start growing moss on them. lol...

yea, another thing I learned here is three-horns are good like that.

anyway, I would probably do the same if I were to get another chameleon, lean towards a panther first or just a type of cham that is very different from a montane, maybe pygmies or something. It would switch things up a bit, but quad and deremensis does sound like an awesome cham collection.

Adult male quads roam quite a bit looking for females. This is one species we've had no problem cohabiting both genders together. In fact, the pair seem happier when they're together. :)

In my opinion, quads are very laid back and easy going. The color is there, just not as articulated as in the panthers. Don't get e wrong, I love our pardalis as much as any other, but a male quad displays more than color. Four horns, sailfins and chin spikes? It's a tough species to compare against most.

If you're not in a hurry, keep your eyes peeled come June. ;)

I would love to add some quads to my collection. I just gotta pay off the faly i just got today first. Maybe i should get a second job to fuel my cham addiction. lol

I own several panthers and I love love love them!
But I would say get a Quad!!! They seem like a interesting species!

they sure are, I was finishing up a movie on my laptop, and I caught mine staring down at me with his vibrant colors on like he was enjoying the movie too, lol.

It was funny, but I figured he must have seen me pass the cage and wanted food so he got excited and started looking for it.

As far as habits, I consider quads the panthers of Cameroon chameleon species. The male I had a long time ago used to cruise his cage just like a panther, could be some what handled, and was not overly skittish. Plus both species are similar sizes and have got similar cage size requirements. Quads are a species I would love to work with again.
