The books say between 2-5 (on average, for brevs); I had 3 babies hatch out from each of two layings, and four from a third (for a total of ten); I'm not certain, but believe the second laying may have been a retained clutch from the same mating as produced the first batch. These three clutches hatched over a two month period, and were the products of a group of one male, two females.
