Do your chameleons climb on everything? Even like a plant stand? I have one of those locker stands holding my plant and just recently Oliver has decided he likes to go down there on the grate part (top) and explore or use this part as a sleeping place. The stand is about 1 and half feet off the ground.....:(

When my girl was gravid, and getting close to her lay date, she was EVERYWHERE!!!

my male panther,,, is oftentimes found asleep at the bottom of his cage.

my male veiled.. loves to hide at the back of his cage to sleep.

as long as htey dont stay down there, and they dont sleep during the day, its ok.

though it could mean its time for a bigger cage.

Well I never had him in a smaller cage to begin with, he is only 5-6 months old.....He doesn't look like it yet though. Do you think it is because he has been in a 2x2x4 cage all of his life (since I have had him) he thinks that he needs a bigger one?

he might.. or just just exploring..

have you added any new stuff to his cage recently?

he could also be hunting for bugs.

do you have a hot room, my room gets pretty warm so likes to go down lower to sleep in a cooler temp, babies explore all the time

I live in texas and my room only gets about 78...it's my first summer with him so that could be it, I'll double check temps

I did drop a worm in there today...but I usually hand feed him and then let him hunt in the outside cage, I'd rather have any Roaches loose out there than In my room. :p

I did re do and clean his cage about a week ago, he was fine up till a day ago
